June 23 & 24, 2007 marked our 2nd Annual La Piazza Dell'Arte Street Painting.CAI members got together on the streets of Larimer Square for this annual Italian festival. Artists from all over converge to cover the pavement with beautiful, yet temporary chalk drawings. Our "masterpiece" was a tribute to the father of American illustration, Howard Pyle. True to our pirate painting, several members came in costume and were a hit with the strolling art enthusiasts, and kids, too. CAI members Benjamin Hummel & Cherish Flieder recreated a classic Rockwell at the event, just a few squares over.
